Alison Hook, Director, Global Legal Market Consulting, UK
Alison joined the Law Society in January 2002. Prior to this she worked for the European Commission as Deputy Head of the European Commission Representation in the UK (1997-2001), in the Cabinet of European Commissioner Sir Leon Brittan covering a variety of trade, economic and legal issues (1993-1997) and for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (1987-93). She is an economist by training and joined the Government Economic Service after studying at Edinburgh and Warwick Universities.

Andrew Berger, Counsel, Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP, USA
Andrew Berger has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation, licensing and commercial litigation. His clients include publishers, content creators, illustrators, filmmakers, including a 2010 Academy Award winner, advertising agencies, software developers and new media companies.
Andrew he has extensive commercial trial experience. His clients in complex commercial litigation have included a Latin American government, the Women's Professional Tennis Association and a Channel Islands investment company. Andrew has also been teaching trial practice at Hofstra Law School for the past 15 years.
Andrew is a graduate of Cornell University and Cornell Law School and is the past president of the Cornell Law Association, the alumni body representing the 9,000 graduates of that school.
Andrew was recently elected as a Trustee and a member of the Executive Committee of the Copyright Society of the U.S.A. Andrew serves as a co-chair of the Copyright Subcommittee of the IP Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section of the ABA. He is also a member of the Federal Courts Committee of the New York City Bar having completed a three-year term on the Copyright Committee. Andrew also serves a mediator in the federal and state courts.

Abhi Shah, CEO & Managing Director, Clutch Group, USA
Abhi Shah is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Clutch Group. In this role, Mr. Shah is responsible for overseeing all business operations and the overall strategic direction of the company.
Prior to Clutch Group, Mr. Shah worked with Mphasis, a global IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services company with over 12,000 employees. He led the sale of the company for $800 million to a leading U.S. technology services provider. Prior to MphasiS, Mr. Shah was a senior consultant at Accenture where he led multiple client engagements with Fortune 100 companies in the telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries.
In addition to his responsibilities for Clutch Group, Mr. Shah serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Yuva Unstoppable, a 60,000-volunteer youth movement across 30 cities in India impacting over 100,000 underprivileged children in the municipal schools and slums of India. He is also the co-founder of two non-profit organizations, promoting investment and trade between the U.S. and India, and leading bi-partisan advocacy on Capitol Hill and the White House on issues of concern to the Indian American community. As part of this work, Mr. Shah helped launch the Congressional Task Force on U.S.-India Investment and Trade Relations and has led Congressional, Gubernatorial, and CEO delegations to India for talks with the Prime Minister and India's leading government and business leaders.
Mr. Shah received a BBA in Marketing with honors from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also completed the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program led by former U.S. President George H. Bush.
Mr. Shah was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India and currently spends most of his time in New York, although he considers his residence “on a flight between New York, Washington, DC, Chicago, Bangalore and Delhi” due to his persistent business travel obligations. Outside of his work with Clutch Group, he enjoys Hollywood and Bollywood movies, jet skiing, promoting political and trade relations between the U.S. and India.

Ann McCrackin, President, Black Hills IP, USA
Ann McCrackin is a patent prosecution process expert and a highly accomplished patent attorney with extensive experience in both U.S. and international patent prosecution. Before becoming President of Black Hills IP Ann was a Professor of Law and the Director of the nationally recognized Patent Prosecution and Procedure Program at Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire School of Law). At Franklin Pierce, Ann directed the program and taught courses in advanced aspects of practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Ann has also taught dozens of continuing legal education courses and seminars on various aspects of patent process and prosecution and has edited and authored a number of legal texts on patent law. Ann is also attorney of record for several Amicus Briefs filed in patent cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ann was a Shareholder at the Minneapolis patent firm Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. for eight years and now is of counsel at the firm. Ann has an undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and a law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center.

Alok Aggarwal, Chairman & Co-founder, Evalueserve, USA
Alok is a co-founder of Evalueserve (EVS). Prior to this, Alok was the Director of Emerging Business Opportunities for IBM Research Division Worldwide. In this capacity, he headed IBM's India Research Laboratory. There he was managing a team of 55 researchers involved in the research and development of major IBM products and technologies, including those in e-commerce, supply chain management, natural user interface, speech recognition, networking software, data mining and media mining products as well as systems management.
Alok received his B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and his PhD in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University.
He has published over 50 research papers and 10 patents, and has received 2 Outstanding Invention Awards.

Arihant Patni - Chief Executive Officer, Bodhi Global, India
Arihant Patni is an entrepreneur, corporate executive and financial advisor who has extensive experience in computer software, business development/marketing and IT infrastructure. He has worked in India, the United States and throughout Europe.
Arihant began his career at Patni Computer Systems, where he had a broad exposure to the business of the company, including consulting positions in the computer software and human resources departments, as well as being a business development and marketing executive. In the latter capacity, Arihant was part of a team dedicated to the European market and worked to increase global brand awareness for the Patni companies and products. Subsequently, Arihant worked as a Business Strategy Consultant for Fidelity Investments in Boston, where he led a finance systems strategy project for one of Fidelity's companies, involving business process analyses, systems re-design and solutions recommendations. He then worked as a Management Consultant for Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he brought his computer expertise to bear on projects relating to the enhancement the firm's electronic security tools and protocols. Arihant was Vice-President for Business Development for Raay Software, Inc., where he started the U.S. office for a European software product company operating in the healthcare space, developed the marketing campaign for the United States and conducted strategic market analysis to build brand awareness.

Dr. Akhil Prasad, Director and Head-Legal & Company Secretary, Fidelity International, India
Dr. Akhil Prasad is Director and Head of Legal at Fidelity International India (FIL India Business Services) and is based at Gurgaon. In past he has held offices as Director India Legal Affairs & Company Secretary of The Walt Disney Company India (2005 to 2007); as Senior Attorney & Company Secretary of General Motors India (2003 to 2005); and as Assistant General Manager Legal with Electrolux Kelvinator (2000 to 2002). Prior to these assignments, he has also worked with the legal teams in Modicorp Group (including Modi Xerox and Graphtech India from 1995 to 2000). Akhil has about over 15 years’ experience as an In-house Counsel.
Akhil holds a Doctorate in Commerce, is a post graduate in Law, is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK. He is also a non-practicing Solicitor of England & Wales and is a member of the Law Society, UK. Akhil has been very recently nominated as the Vice – Chairman and an Advisory Board member to the Corporate Counsel Committee of the International Bar Association.

Bruce Macmillan, General Counsel, Legal Services Board (England and Wales), UK
Bruce Macmillan is General Counsel to the Legal Services Board – the new oversight regulator for the English and Welsh legal profession. Prior to joining the Legal Services Board, Bruce was Dell EMEA Senior Counsel for the Consumer, Retail and business distribution divisions. Prior to Dell Bruce was UK Head of Legal for telecoms groups Tele2, and Alpha Telecom and was in house counsel at ONdigital/ITV Digital and Cable & Wireless. Bruce started his legal career at Gouldens (now Jones Day) and also worked for SJ Berwin before moving in house. Bruce has been an active member of legal trade associations including the Commerce & Industry Group (where he was chair of the Corporate Governance Committee) and the Cisco IT lawyers forum.

Brandon Daniels, Chief Technology Officer at Clutch Group, USA
Brandon Daniels is the Chief Technology Officer of Clutch Group. In this role, Brandon is responsible for establishing and implementing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development across all services.
Prior to Clutch Group, Brandon was the VP and Global Head of Litigation & Investigations at CPA Global, a legal services outsourcing firm. In his role at CPA Global he led the growth of the legal services business unit defining, building, and delivering innovative and award winning solutions and services for Fortune 1000 corporations. With over 300 attorneys across the US and teams in Europe and Asia he worked with clients to coordinate regulatory matters and disputes globally. Over the last decade, working for firms such as Lexis Nexis Applied Discovery, he has focused on applying technology to legal services in order to create efficiency, increase quality, and reduce risk for corporations. He has managed the development or acquisition and implementation of knowledge management, performance tracking, data room, and litigation support software systems. He has also led the creation of facilities and technology environments that have withstood both risk and security audits from some of the largest investment banks, bioscience companies, and technology corporations in the world.
Brandon is frequently asked to speak and lecture at conferences and universities on trends in the legal market, risk and compliance needs for corporations, and the growing role of technology in the goal to mitigate risk and drive performance.

Connie Brenton, Chief of Staff/Director of Legal Operations at NetApp, USA
Ms. Brenton is the Chief of Staff and Senior Director for Legal Operations at NetApp, Inc., reporting to NetApp’s General Counsel. Charles Colman, Fashion and Entertainment Attorney at Charles Colman Law, PLLC and Vice Chair of Special Committee on Copyrights and New Technologies at American Bar Association (ABA), USA
Charles ("Chuck") Colman is the Fashion and Entertainment Attorney at Charles Colman Law, PLLC and a Vice Chair of Special Committee on Copyrights and New Technologies at American Bar Association. Charles started Charles Colman Law, PLLC, in January 2011 in order to provide cost-effective, industry-specific legal representation to individuals and companies in fashion, music, art, film, theater, and other creative fields.

Chris Dale, Director, e-Disclosure Information Project, UK
Chris Dale qualified as an English solicitor in 1980 after reading History at Oxford. He was a litigation partner in London and then a litigation software developer and litigation support consultant before turning to commentary on electronic disclosure / discovery. He runs the e-Disclosure Information Project which disseminates information about the court rules, the problems, and the technology to lawyers and their clients, to judges, and to suppliers. He is a member of Senior Master Whitaker's Working Party which drafted the new Practice Direction and Electronic Documents Questionnaire. He writes the UK’s only authoritative and objective web site and blog on the subject and is a well-known speaker and commentator in the UK, the US and other common law jurisdictions.

For over 25 years David has restricted his practice to insurance disputes and related litigation. He advises insurers on coverage issues and is defence counsel on personal injury, accident benefits, property and casualty, commercial general liability, fidelity, excess and reinsurance as well as in life and disability claims. He continues to act as trial and coverage counsel on complex multi-party, multijurisdictional catastrophic losses.

Diana de Mello Jungmann, Intellectual Property Program Coordinator, CNI - National Confederation of Industry, Brazil
Diana Jungmann works at the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) in Brazil as the coordinator of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Programme for Industrial Innovation. She is the author of five publications of the Programme. The initiative is a Latin American landmark involving extensive propagation of IP-related issues.
Dr Jungmann represents the CNI as a council member for the IP Brazilian Association and for the Anti-piracy National Council of the Ministry of Justice. She has a PhD from the United Kingdom, an MSc and BSc from Brazil, and executive qualifications in intellectual property and business strategy from Harvard Business School and in business and innovation management from IMD, Wharton and Duke-LSE.
Dr Jungmann is a successful inventor and has broad experience in intellectual property and innovation as a project manager, business liaison, lecturer and speaker. She has delivered the work in the United Kingdom, the United States, Brussels, Mexico, Canada, France, Italy, Germany and Portugal, and in 24 Brazilian states.

David R. Cohen, Partner, Reed Smith, USA
David R. Cohen graduated from Harvard Law School in 1983. He is a litigation partner in the Pittsburgh office of Reed Smith LLP, where he leads the firm’s Records & E-Discovery Team. He is admitted to practice before courts in Pennsylvania, plus the Third, Fifth and Federal Circuits, and has been admitted pro hac vice to courts in fourteen other states, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. David has served as Special Discovery Counsel or National Discovery Counsel for a number of clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
David was principally responsible for the briefing and argument that led to the precedential cost-shifting opinion in Delta Fin. Corp. v. Morrison, 819 N.Y. S.2d 908 (N.Y. Sup. Ct. 2006). David has served as President of the Harvard Law School Association of Western Pennsylvania, Chair of the Technology Utilization Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and Chairman of the Litigation Technologies Subcommittee of the American Bar Association Computerization Committee. He also taught as an adjunct law school professor at Duquesne Law School and has authored technology and legal strategy articles and book chapters published in Litigation, The National Law Journal, the Tort and Insurance Law Journal, Managing Litigation Costs, The Litigation Handbook, and other legal publications.

David M. Hickey is American Discovery's Managing Director. Mr. Hickey brings more than 20 years of litigation experience to American Discovery. Prior to joining American Discovery, Mr. Hickey was an equity partner at Winston & Strawn, LLP. He has first chair trial experience and has worked on a number of significant litigation and arbitration matters in the United States, Asia and the United Kingdom. Mark Ford began his career in 1994 as a trainee and then a solicitor in Clifford Chance's Communications, Media & Technology Group. Vince is Litigation Support Manager at Allen & Overy and is a recognised expert in the field of e-disclosure and document management. He has 35 years of experience at Allen & Overy and is responsible for document management across the litigation department globally.
He also manages the department's paralegals and Litigation Support team and is an Administrator of the firm's Litigation Support system, Ringtail Caseroom.
